Important notes

The conference will be held onsite or virtually, if the pandemic situation is not controlled. The event in hybrid format is not planned. The organizing committee does not anticipate any further postponement of the conference.

How to get to Gdynia

The most convenient way for international participants to get to the conference venue is to use Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport (https://www.airport.gdansk.pl/).
You can get from Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport to the Gdynia city centre by train (Route: Gdańsk Port Lotniczy > Gdynia Główna).

If you travel from e.g. Warsaw or Cracow airport, you can get to Gdynia by PKP Intercity trains (https://www.intercity.pl/en/).
The trains arrive directly at the Gdynia Główna. Then, you can switch to train (Rapid Urban Railway – SKM – Szybka Kolej Miejska) and get off at “Gdynia Wzgórze św. Maksymiliana” station or continue the journey to the conference venue on foot via Starowiejska and Świętojańska Streets (approx. 25 minutes).

We are pleased to announce that the 39th International Conference of the Polish Phycological Society  will be held in Gdynia and Łeba (Poland) from 27th to 30th September 2021.

The meeting is organized by the Faculty of Oceanography and Geography of the University of Gdańsk and the Polish Phycological Society

The event will once again bring together scientists within the phycological research allowing attendees to exchange recent findings representing a wide variety of fields.
